IN-LITE® BIG NERO (Ø170mm bezel) - 12v Tilting Recessed Garden Light

The in-lite® BIG NERO tilting recessed uplighter is a high-output 12v outdoor light designed to deliver a powerful yet wide 49° beam of light, projecting up to 6.5 metres. This makes it ideal for uplighting large trees, tall planting, walls and building façades, with multiple fittings recommended for evenly lighting larger features.

Unlike the standard NERO, the BIG NERO incorporates in-lite® Motion technology, allowing the lighting module to be tilted and precisely adjusted using the supplied magnet. This added flexibility makes it easy to fine-tune the light direction after installation, ensuring the perfect lighting effect for both soft landscaping and architectural elements.

Thanks to its wide, flat bezel, the BIG NERO can be installed into gravel, grass, stone, concrete or wood, offering excellent versatility across different garden environments. When fitted into solid surfaces, a Ø142mm cut-out is required for a flush, professional finish.

For installations where a lower light output is sufficient, the standard NERO can be used instead. However, it does not feature the adjustable tilting module found in the BIG NERO and BIG NERO NARROW models.

Each 12v in-lite® fitting is built around a high-quality LED with an impressive 25,000-hour lifespan, providing long-term reliability and performance. When used as part of the in-lite® system, the BIG NERO is covered by a 5-year warranty. Every fitting is supplied with an EASY-LOCK connector, allowing quick connection anywhere along the in-lite® CBL 12v cable. The cable length between the connector and the fitting can be extended by up to 3 metres using CBL-EXT CORD extensions.

Note: When designing an in-lite® lighting system, always calculate the total VA load rather than wattage to ensure it remains within the limits of the selected transformer.

Note: Due to the higher VA requirements of the BIG NERO and BIG NERO NARROW, specific installation guidelines must be followed. Always use 10/2 gauge cable, do not exceed 40 metres of cable length, and observe maximum fixture limits per transformer (up to 4 fixtures on HUB-50, 7 on HUB-100, and 11 total or 7 per line on SMART HUB-150).
